Kid dance classes.
There's just something about watching a bunch of pre-school age little girls arabesque to songs like "Bust a Move" and "Word Up." Yes, Maggs loves her dance classes and so do I. Last week, parents were encouraged to join in on the fun and cut a rug a la John Travolta to the Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive," preferably while making silly faces. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a little song and dance. But I'm even more of a sucker for Maggs in a ballet suit making good use of disco fingers. How can something like that not put a smile on your face?

Oooooh, there is nothing cuter than a little girl in a leotard (wow, I sound pervy typing that...). Let me explain-- I take a lyrical dance class every night, and I can't wait until next year when my daughter is old enough for a ballet/tap combo class. I already have leotards and slippers tucked away for the fall!

That is so sweet! I used to teach ballet to 3 year old girls. They may look all dainty but those girls were crazy!

It is posts like these that let me know what my kids are missing out on living in a small town on the Mexican border. I want to go to dance class too! Oh well, we have cascarones.
Maggs is adorable! Dancing has made me happy for as long as I remember.
Oh man, I can't WAIT for dance classes and tutus and little leotards. I'm so excited for that. I was too shy to do that stuff when I was little so I hope Lila is into it.

Love the smile on her face. She couldn't be happier. I love dancing with my kids too. We do a weekly dance party in the living room. I highly recommend this as a stress reliever. Cute.

Absolutely!! I wish so much that I had a little girl so I could make her take dance classes, if only for my own enjoyment. Nino would probably wear a tutu if I asked him, but I think my husband might be disturbed by this.
I remember that with my own daughter and it was adorable and hysterical at the same time!

Little kids dancing make me happy too! My son likes to bust a move...and I'm praying that he doesn't grow up to have the hubby's dance skills!!

If I ever have a daughter I'm TOTALLY putting her in dance classes. Love love love lil munchkins dancin' their hearts out! The hubs won't let me put the dude in classes. Ah ha ha

Beautiful! I love the idea of the Happiness Project too. I recently took some photos of my 2 and 4 year old daughters in their gym leotards. Adorable.
Holy moly I thought that was Sophia for a second! The haircut, the leotard the clearly awesome moves!
My hubs thinks we should take pre-school danc classes into hospitals and nursing homes because there is nothing that is more obviously a happy maker!
